I love painting anything to do with railways and have a keen interest in steam locomotives.
I'm lucky enough to live in the north of the country, where we have an abundance of preserved railways and the National Railway Museums.
I am a full member of the Guild of Railway Artists and have exhibited my paintings at Locomotion, Shildon, Shap, the Railway Museum Kidderminster and The National Railway Museum, York. I also take a painting to every Model Railway Show I attend.
I have had three solo exhibitions. My first at Locomotion, Shildon, that ran for six weeks.
The second and third were held in the village where I live in North Yorkshire. Both were held to raise money for Breast Cancer Now and the last one was also to celebrate the 200th Anniversary of the Stockton and Darlington Railway.
A lot of the paintings on my website are the culmination of seven years work when I was ill, where my artwork was my focus and my lifeline.
